allie-oops sweet happy life: More Christmas Finishes

allie-oops sweet happy life: More Christmas Finishes

Uuhmm...housework/groceries or craft

Well it looks like there won't be much happening in the craft department today as I have a bit of home maintenance to do... mainly groceries.  Yes the cupboards are bare and as for the fridge it's almost empty (maybe I should clean it first!).  The kids, yep, all three of them are whinging cause there's nothing to eat.  Little do they know there's a good reason for that, they have to eat the things at the back of the cupboard before they go out of date!

Oh well before I go I did want to share a photo I took a couple of days ago.  This little Cati's decided to flower for the first time.
The Cati's actually belongs to my nana, who's now in a nursing home.  It sits in my favourite place the patio.

Off to do the grocery list!!

What a great day!

It's been a beautiful day, the sun is shinning the birds are singing the water feature is FINALLY working (don't ask!!) and amongst everything I've managed to finish another bag.

I called into the local Spotlight store on Friday only to come across this lovely patterned fabric and I wondered how it would go as a bag.  Just managed to finish it a short time ago and well, think it looks pretty good.  Took a bit of carefull planning to cut it out but with a bit of... (alright alot of) patience, it came together really well.

The fabric is black and cream

The bag consists of a zippered pocket, a mobile phone pocket and a magnetic clasp.

So that's me finished for today, another item for the market stash!

HOLIDAYS...

It's been a busy few days.  Thankfully my week started so well, with Monday night being shared with a bunch of crafty mum's.  We try to get together every second Monday evening for a bit of 'grown up time' without the kids. We bring along anything we like, we sit, chat, share and do our craft.

It's been a while since I've gone as the kids have been on school holidays and between my 17yr and 15yr working casual jobs at the local supermarket I've become the taxi mum.

Happy belated AUSTRALIA   DAY!!
What a wonderful time we had at the
FUN, FOOD AND FERRETS
day at the Mersey River, Latrobe.
We had the pleasure of spending the day with our wonderful friends.

Great day

As for today, finished some more goodies for my market stash

I've decided to call these my 'For You' collection, haven't as yet decided on a price, would appreciate any thoughts.
Love to all

Great start to the week

How nice it is to wake up on a Monday and not  dread the week ahead.  Oh yes! I guess that maybe only having to work two days (then on holidays for next two and a half weeks) may have something to do with it.

Isn't it funny when you find yourself completely over taken by your craft.  Last Saturday I found myself sitting at the sewing machine at 7 in the morning, nothing like doing an hours worth of craft before going to my paid job!

Anyhow, this is what I was doing, managed to finish it yesterday.

Must say a hugh thank you to my craft buddies for all the dried flowers and lavender bought into me.  It's just lovely and I appreciate it so much, and I'm sure I will be able to put it all to good use.

Time to go and get organised, craft tonight with the girls.  Looking forward to the next couple of weeks, lots of spare time...

A wet, wet day...perfect for sewing

It's done nothing but rain ALL day.

I've set myself a goal this year to create as many things, of which I could sell at a market, out of my stash.  I'm pleased to say I've made a start.  After working at my paid job for the last 4 days I finally had a day to finish the bag I've been making over the past few evenings. The fabric I used was left overs from the christmas quilt I made towards the end of last year, however, I must admit I did have to purchase a little bit extra for the lining.   The design I made up as I went, it really was determined by how much fabric I had.  The flower I just made up after seeing the lady in the local sewing shop making something similar.

Next on made list is...you guessed it, another bag!  I really loved the flower idea, so I want to make another one.  Hoping to finish it over the next day or so.

Time to share

My favourite things...
Tea or coffee

My favourite place...
The patio, and Mia of course

My favourite hobbie...
Quilting

A start to my collection for market... one day!

My latest quilt,  designed and made by me, hughly enspired by Jenny of Elefantz.  I've called it
'Hearts & Roses Hope Quilt'
As I'm relatively new at all this, including designing my own projects, I havn't decided as yet what to do with this quilt.  So I hope to share more pics of it when I know.

Time to do the housework and then hopefully time to sew, have some ideas on a new bag.

It's Friday!

The sun is shining, there isn't a breath of wind, the birds are singing... Here I sit, outside in my absolute favourite place, our patio.  With my morning coffee in one hand and my quilting in the other, it's just the most perfect way to start my day off.

OK, this blog thing is very new to me and I'm really wishing I had somesone to show me what to do.  But for now I'm slowly learning.  Hope to get some photo's tomorrow, have to reduce the size of them to get them to upload, maybe tomorrow.
