Makes for FEBRUARY

 Okay it seems like it's been a while since I last shared my craft,
sooo, I have just a few pics to show...

A little wall hanger from my 'For You" range...

You may remember these from a previous post, I expanded on my thought of a pin cushion and made one into this...

They're great!  The base is actually a ceramic tile which gives it the weight to make it sit.  I've covered it in a few layers of wadding for padding.  And the bin is a plastic drink bottle with the top cut off, this enables it to be removed to empty.  Plus there's a pocket on the front for all those little extras like scissors.
I managed to sell a couple of these so thought I'd better replace them...
 YEAH! for the stash!!
Used up the last of my 'Butterfly Garden Range' fabric as I attempted some freehand stippling for the first time (a bit scary, however by the time I was finished I felt I was just getting in to it!)  Cute little cushion.
And lastly another bag, this one is for mum, whom seemed very happy getting.  Consists round base, magnetic clasp, zippered pocket and a mobile pocket.

Wow, must say I haven't really felt that busy, but when you put it all in one blog looks like alot.  Plus, currently working on a family (my mum, my sister and me effort) lap quilt for my Nana G, who turns 90 next month, unfortunately she's unlikely to be able to really acknowledge it as her health is failing.
 It's been rewarding for us to be able to make something together for her though, and in some way it's probably more for us than her.  Hopefully will have pics next time as I've just completed 90 prairie points for the edge.

When all is QUIET

Busy, busy, busy. Holidays, CRAFT, back to school, CRAFT, back to work, CRAFT, you get the message!!!

It's been a while since my last post as things have been a little hectic over the last couple of weeks.  We took the family away for a couple of days to Grindlewald in Launceston, (about one and a half hours drive).  Had a lovely time.
Went to Tasmania Zoo;

Went to Cataract Gorge;

Played Mini Golf;

Amongst many other things.  Had a wonderful time.

Once home it's back to a normal.  But I must say, when all is quiet we should question what everyone is doing... that includes husbands.

Sooo, ok we're doing a bit of gardening, actually quite a bit, and it's looking good, until...husband explains how he's found the perfect tool...

My good scissors, how horrified am I!!
Must say they did a damn good job.

Anyhow, I did mention craft, didn't I.  Will have show and tell in next blog.

Patchwork Hearts

Thanks to Charming Chatter's tutorial on Patchwork Hearts I've managed to use up a bit more of my stash.  After having two daughters the colour pink seems to be the main colour theme of my stash, and there's only so much you can do with the same colour!  But after seeing the little hearts I figured they'd be perfect for the pink fabric.
It started like this...

Once quilted looked like this...

And finished...

Just love them
Not sure what to do with them yet, be great to put them away for now, may add them to market stash otherwise will make great gifts throughout the year or even for Christmas!

Inspired

Isn't blog world just the best place?  Talk about getting you in, I haven't done any posting over the past few days but that's not to say I haven't been exploring the world of blogging.  A couple of major achievements would have to be the addition of my slide show of photos (which took the be best part of my afternoon!!) and with many many thanks to Allie who is an absolute genius, emailed me the instructions of how to add a button to my side bar.  I now have two, make sure you check them out.

Inspired by Allie's Christmas through the year I've made a start, it's not much, but it's a start!

They're only little, about 6cm across, but I've filled them with lavender and the smell beautiful.  Would be ideal in a drawer or even just to float around in a handbag.

Another finish for the week would be this little bag,

 Kaitlyn now needs glasses and we picked them up from the Optometrist on Tuesday.  She has been so excited waiting for them to come.  The optometrist only wants her to wear them part time which means she will need to take them on and off at school.  My biggest fear is them getting lost. So we made this little bag with her name on it to put them in, fingers crossed they won't go missing.  Kaitlyn loves the bag and has worn it constantly.  Think I may need to be pro-active and make some more as birthday presents for her friends.

  The plan for the day is to finish a couple of bags I started earlier in the week.  Wish me luck!
